[...] Hi everyone, on my flight back from the US, I was giving the gospel to various people on the plane using THE GOSPEL PRESENTATION which is on my mini dvd player. It’s so simple. I just getting chatting to someone, and they always ask ‘what do you do for a job?’. I say ‘Oh, I am a pastor’ which is the simplest answer. If I say I am an evangelist, no one knows what that is. So I simply say ‘I am a pastor. I have been away showing people a video we have developed which summarises the whole Bible in 11 minutes. Would you like to view it? ‘ If you are not a pastor, you could just simply say ‘I have been away visiting peole and showing them an amazing 11 minute video which summarises the whole Bible in 11 minutes. Would you like to see it?’ The idea is to get onto the topic of the presentation asap. I have my dvd player all ready cued on the presentation and the head phones in so that I can quickly hand everything over to the person I am talking to to get them started. On this occasion the hostess on a United Emerites flight was Margaret. She enthusiastically agreed to watch the presentation. I was amazed how intensely she watched it. At the end she looked up and said ‘Wow – that was amazing!’ I then said ‘Margaret, can I ask you a couple of questions to test whether ths program communicated clearly or not?’ What kind of record do we need to get to heaven?’ She said ‘a perfect one’ . Then I said ‘We get this when we are forgiven by Jesus. Do you remember what were the two things we need to do in order to be forgiven?’ She said ‘turn away and surrender’ . I then said ‘Margaret, is there any reason you shouldn’t turn and surrender right now?’ She thought about it for a moment and said ‘No’. I then said ‘do you want to turn and surrender right now?’ and thinking about it she said ‘Yes, I would’. I then led her through a simple prayer which she repeated after me. ‘Dear Lord Jesus, I admit I have broken you laws and deserve to go to hell. Thank you for dying on the cross for me and taking my punishment. I ask you to forgive me now, and to give me a copy of your perfect record. With all my heart I want to turn and surrender to you. Holy Spirit, please come into my life to empower me to live for you. Amen’ I explained to Margaret who the Holy Spirit was and I emailed her a copy of a little follow up booklet which fleshes out the gospel presentation, giving Bible verses etc. Please pray for Margaret. She was a Catholic who had never heard the gospel before. You can view the gospel presentation I use at www.esisite.com/gospel [...]
